Turner Syndrome Awareness 2nd Annual Blog Hop 2020

Hello Blogging Friends!!

Turner Syndrome is a genetic disorder where a female is born with only one X chromosome, instead of two, leaving her with life-long medical issues and learning disabilities. This condition occurs one in 2,500 female births worldwide, but is more common among pregnancies that do not survive to full term. That is why Turner Syndrome Females are considered MIRACLES!
Prize Winners will be announced on February 15, 2020.

Thirty-six caring Sponsors and nine DT Members are offering prizes to commenters and they are helping bring Turner Syndrome Awareness to the Public. For details on how you might win any of these fabulous prizes, please see Lori's TS home page. Thanks for learning About Turner Syndrome

My TS related project is inspired by the TSA official color board:

My card:

I knew what I wanted the image to be, but my stamps didn't work out.  So I did a bit of manipulation.  I wanted to use Beautiful You, but the lady was too small for the butterflies from Papilion Potpourri.  So I scanned and enlarged the lady dancing in the puddle.  Stamped a number of butterflies.  Colored the lady and butterflies with Prismacolor Pencils.  I used the butterfly punch from Stampin' Up, gave them some dimension by curling the edges and put them on dimensional dots.  The sentiment is by Donna Ellis, Sparkle N Sprinkle, added a bit of color along the edge and raised using dimensional dots.  The border is Sizzix Edgelits.  I am pleased with the result, it is as imagined.
Turner Syndrome is about girls and women therefore I wanted to show a happy lady dancing in a water puddle.  The butterflies are often used in relation to since they seem feminine and joyful.

It is an honor to participate in the Turner Syndrome Awareness Blog Hop.  I only learned of this disease recently and want to help spread awareness.  Please read about Turner Syndrome and share this information with others.
I will be awarding a prize randomly to one of the people who leaves me a comment on my Blog.  Please leave a comment, you might want to include comments about Turner Syndrome.

Check out the other Blogs that are participating in the Turner Syndrome Awareness 2nd Annual Blog Hop 2020 for more chances to win prizes.

How clever of you to stamp and enlarge the main image so that it worked with the butterflies. This is a beautiful card that inspires in every way. I had been aware of TS before but didn't realize how common it is and how many health problems can result.

This is so pretty! What a great idea to scan in the image so you could make it the size you wanted; I've never thought of doing that before! I learned about TS last year for the first time on this hop. Thanks for helping to spread awareness.

Beautiful card with this happy lady. Love the butterflies and the framing. I learned that girls with Turner's syndrome have a higher risk of inflammatory bowel disease.

BEAUTIFUL card! LOVE your image and sentiment, LOVE how you were INSPIRED!
I hopped along last year. There are so many aspects to this genetic disorder that it is almost overwhelming, so I appreciate the opportunity to learn more again this year. Things like less than 2% of TS babies survive to birth then LIVE amazing lives, TRUE MIRACLES!
THANK YOU for sharing and supporting the Turner Syndrome Awareness Blog Hop :)
PS - please don't include me in your prize draw, I am enjoying my hopping, learning and being inspired along the way
